Prana

Prana by Atzaro stands among the most distinctive traditional sailing vessels in Indonesian waters. Measuring 55 meters in length with two masts and seven sails, she pairs wooden phinisi heritage from Sulawesi shipyards with interior comforts shaped by the hospitality philosophy of the Atzaro group. For travelers seeking space, privacy, and ceremonial crew service across Komodo and Raja Ampat, she offers a rare combination of scale and intimacy.

Vessel Scale and Design Pedigree

Prana was commissioned by Atzaro, the Ibiza-based hospitality group, and built in South Sulawesi using the traditional phinisi shipbuilding techniques passed down through generations of Konjo craftsmen. The result is a 55-meter wooden yacht that ranks among the largest privately chartered phinisi in the world. Four decks spread out across her length, giving eighteen guests room to gather or disperse as the mood shifts from morning yoga to afternoon reading to late-night conversation under the stars.

The two masts carry seven sails that can be set when wind conditions allow, lending authenticity to the voyage without sacrificing the practicality of engine power for tight schedules or calm days. Below the waterline, careful engineering supports stable anchorage in remote bays and efficient passage between the park's signature dive sites. Above deck, Balinese textiles, Indonesian timber, and bespoke furniture combine to create a vessel that feels cultured rather than showy.

Unlike newer yachts built to generic luxury templates, Prana carries the visual language of its origin. You'll notice hand-forged fittings, carved details near the bow, and a crew that understands the ship as both a working sailing boat and a private residence at sea. This balance defines her charter character.

Nine Suites Across Four Decks

Prana accommodates up to 18 guests across nine opulent suites, each named after an Indonesian place or destination tied to the country's maritime history. The cabin roster includes the Batavia Suite, Uluwatu Suite, Ambon Suite, Misool Suite, Flores Suite, Komodo Suite, Maluku Suite, Banda Suite, and Run Suite. The suites are distributed thoughtfully across four decks to give each group privacy and a sense of its own vantage on the sea.

Inside, the suites feature ocean views, air-conditioning, and finishes that reflect the craftsmanship of the broader vessel. Day beds on the expansive decks extend the living space outward, and wide gangways allow easy movement between levels for guests of any age. The dining space is air-conditioned with a serviced bar, while the lounge offers a quieter retreat for afternoons when the sun sits high.

Because Prana sleeps a full party of eighteen in comfort, she suits multi-generational families, corporate retreats, or groups of close friends who want to experience Komodo or Raja Ampat together without compromising on personal space. The layout rewards those who appreciate both communal rituals and the option to step away.

Wellness, Dining, and Life Aboard

Life aboard Prana is organized around wellness, cuisine, and immersion in the natural environment. The rooftop yoga deck offers panoramic views ideal for sunrise practice or evening meditation, while the Oasis Spa provides a dedicated space for massages and beauty treatments. An evening cinema under the stars turns quiet anchorages into something more cinematic, with films screened on deck after dinner.

The culinary program features gourmet Asian fusion and Western meals prepared onboard, complemented by soft drinks, juices, local beer, and local wine. A 30-minute massage or beauty treatment per person is included in the full-ship charter, along with personal laundry and internet access. The water sports inventory is unusually complete: one wakeboard and two sets of water skis, six stand-up paddleboards, six sea kayaks, full snorkeling and fishing equipment, complete diving gear with both a dive instructor and dive master, and two large RIB tenders (7.2 meters, 150HP) for beach landings and site transfers.

The 2026 charter rate is USD 20,000 per night for full-ship exclusivity. Charter bookings require a 50% deposit to secure the trip, with the balance due no later than 30 days before departure. Park entrance fees, boat clearance, cruise permits, fuel, and airport transfers are included in the package, letting guests focus on the journey rather than logistics.
