Nusa Kembara VVIP Phinisi Charter

Nusa Kembara is a VVIP phinisi built in 2022 by Sulawesi shipwrights and now sails full time across Komodo National Park. The vessel carries up to 16 guests in 8 en-suite cabins, with a dedicated dive setup, Starlink Wi-Fi, and full crew service, making it a solid pick for private Komodo charters.

About Nusa Kembara

Launched in 2022, Nusa Kembara was constructed in South Sulawesi using traditional phinisi building methods passed down for generations. The vessel is classified as VVIP in the Boat Komodo Trip fleet and is dedicated to Komodo National Park itineraries. With 8 cabins laid out across two decks, the boat balances intimate group capacity with the kind of deck space guests expect on multi-day liveaboard trips. The boat remains available for charter in 2026 and accepts leisure, diving, or combined itineraries departing from Labuan Bajo.

Cabins and Capacity

Nusa Kembara accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, ideally two per cabin. All 8 cabins include en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold fresh water, individually controlled air conditioning, and daily housekeeping. The configuration includes standard double cabins along with family-size layouts, useful for groups traveling with children or multi-generational parties. Linens and towels are refreshed during the trip, and the camera station near the common area is set up for guests bringing dive or drone gear.

Onboard Facilities and Water Activities

The main deck houses an indoor dining area and bar serving mineral water, juices, americano coffee, tea, and soft drinks as part of the charter (alcohol is not included). Outdoor dining is set up on the aft deck, while the sun deck above works for relaxing between island stops. Water activities provided on board include snorkeling, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Divers are supported with scuba tanks, weight belts, and a dive guide at a 1:4 ratio; personal dive equipment rental is available on request with a valid certification. Karaoke is set up for evenings at anchor.
