Booking Policy

This page summarises how a typical booking moves from enquiry to embarkation, including payment milestones and what happens if plans change. Your individual charter agreement always takes precedence over this general summary.

Deposit and Confirmation

After we agree on the vessel, dates, and itinerary, we issue a charter agreement. Returning the signed agreement together with the deposit confirms your booking. The deposit typically ranges between 30 and 50 percent of the total charter value, depending on vessel class and season. Specific terms are listed in your charter agreement.

Once the deposit is received, cabin allocation, crew briefing, and provisioning preparation begin. This is the point at which our team starts committing resources to your specific trip.

Balance Payment

Balance is due between 30 and 60 days before embarkation — the exact lead time depends on vessel. Late balance payments may release the vessel to the waitlist and cost you the deposit. Bank transfer remains the most reliable payment channel; credit card payments may be available but include processor fees.

Changes to Date or Scope

Before the balance due date, date changes within 12 months are generally accepted if the new date is available. Seasonal rate differences may apply. Adding or reducing guest count is flexible while it does not change the vessel's maximum capacity; reductions beyond a certain threshold may still be billed at the original group rate.

Itinerary adjustments after embarkation are at the captain's discretion and must respect weather, park regulations, and refuelling points.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellation refunds follow a sliding scale based on notice period. Typical windows:

- More than 90 days before departure: deposit refundable minus an administrative fee. - 60–90 days: deposit retained, balance refundable. - 30–60 days: 50% of total retained. - Less than 30 days: full charter value retained.

Your specific agreement will state the exact percentages. Travel insurance with trip-cancellation coverage is the recommended safety net.

Force Majeure Reschedule

If weather, government order, or safety reasons prevent sailing, we reschedule at no extra charge within 12 months, subject to vessel availability. Any rate difference between original and new dates is charged or credited accordingly.
