Samambaia Liveaboard Raja Ampat
Samambaia is a VVIP-class liveaboard dedicated to Raja Ampat itineraries. Seven cabins sleep up to 14 guests across Master, Twin, and Double configurations. Onboard watermakers keep freshwater supply steady across long cruises, and the vessel carries a spacious sun deck, lounge area, dining room, WiFi, and TV facilities. It is built for small groups who want privacy and comfort while covering Wayag, Piaynemo, Sauwandarek, and the wider Raja Ampat archipelago.
About Samambaia
Samambaia is set up as a dedicated Raja Ampat liveaboard for guests who plan multi-day cruises through Dampier Strait and up to the northern Waigeo region. The vessel is outfitted with onboard watermakers, so freshwater for showers, dishes, and drinking is produced continuously rather than rationed. The layout prioritizes privacy, with seven enclosed cabins and sized-for-purpose social spaces. A Master Cabin anchors the boat alongside Twin and Double cabins, so groups can arrange sleeping configurations to fit couples, friends, and single travelers on the same charter.
Onboard Facilities
The facilities on Samambaia are built for long-range cruising. A spacious sun deck gives guests room to spread out during transit days, while the lounge area provides a shaded spot for reading, briefings, or downtime between dives. The dining area is sized to serve all 14 guests in one sitting, with kitchen facilities that handle multi-course meals. WiFi is available where signal allows, and TV facilities cover the main indoor spaces. Safety equipment, life vests, and dive support gear are stocked for the full roster of guests.
Cabins and Capacity
Seven cabins give Samambaia flexibility that smaller liveaboards cannot match. The Master Cabin functions as the headline suite, while Twin Cabins suit friends or dive buddies travelling together, and Double Cabins cover couples or single bookings. Total capacity is 14 guests. This configuration hits a useful middle ground between intimate charters of 8 to 10 guests and large liveaboards of 20-plus, which makes Samambaia well matched to extended family trips and small dive groups.
Raja Ampat Itinerary Fit
Samambaia is best used on multi-day itineraries that give time to reach both central and northern Raja Ampat. Typical programs include Dafalen, Timbul Sand, Sauwandarek, and Harfat in the central region, then push north to Wayag and Piaynemo for signature viewpoints. Longer trips can add Triton Bay and Kaimana, or Cendrawasih Bay, depending on season. The crew plans departures around tide and wind windows to reach the best snorkel and dive sites at the right time of day.
