Magia II Liveaboard Charter in Raja Ampat

Magia II is a VVIP-class teak yacht built in the spirit of the 1960s classic motor yachts, now running Raja Ampat liveaboard charters with Boat Komodo Trip. The vessel carries up to 10 guests across 4 cabins, with the Putri Duyung master cabin, the Mola-Mola VIP cabin, and the Lumba-Lumba and Kura-Kura standard cabins forming the layout. Charter rate for 2026 starts at USD 6,900 per night, inclusive of crew, meals, dive support, and local airport transfers, making Magia II a fit for guests who want a private Raja Ampat experience on a traditional-style wooden yacht.

Design, Build, and Onboard Layout

Magia II is built entirely of teak, and her design nods to the elegant motor yachts of the 1960s rather than chasing a modern glass-and-steel look. The interior is spacious with close attention paid to the furnishings, which gives the cabins and common areas a warm, residential feel rather than a clinical one. She is described as an elegant labour of love by the original builder, and the character comes through in the woodwork, joinery, and the way the decks step down toward the waterline. The main social space sits on the large upper deck, where a stocked bar and a sultan-style daybed wide enough to host all guests at once anchor the atmosphere.

Cabins and Sleeping Configuration

Magia II sleeps a maximum of 10 guests across 4 cabins. The Putri Duyung master cabin is the headline suite, fitted with a jacuzzi and balcony access for open-air views. The Mola-Mola VIP cabin sits a tier below the master and is geared toward a couple or a single traveller wanting privacy without taking the top cabin. The Lumba-Lumba and Kura-Kura standard cabins complete the layout and are suitable for additional couples, families, or friends travelling as a group. All cabins are set up for sea-view sleeping and serviced by the professional crew that includes a cruise director and chef.

What's Included in the Charter

The all-in rate covers the crew (including cruise director and chef), all meals and snacks, water, soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee, diving for certified divers, use of onboard water sports equipment, all excursions, harbour and national park fees, local airport transfers, and fuel. Exclusions are the standard liveaboard list: airfares, passport and visa and airport taxes, wine and spirits, diving certification courses, mandatory personal travel and dive insurance, crew gratuity, unscheduled excursions, and medical insurance. The included structure means once you board in Sorong, day-to-day spending is limited to gratuities, alcohol, and any extras you add on.

Raja Ampat Destinations and Diving

Magia II operates across the core Raja Ampat circuit, with regular stops at Dafalen, Timbul Sand, Sauwandarek, Harfat, Wayag Island, and Piaynemo. These sites cover the range of what Raja Ampat is known for: the limestone karst viewpoints of Wayag and Piaynemo, reef and village interaction at Sauwandarek, and the open sandbar moments at Timbul Sand. For certified divers, dives are included in the charter, and the boat is set up to run dive operations directly from the main deck. Routing is shaped by weather, tides, and ranger guidance, which is standard practice in the Raja Ampat Marine Protected Area.
