Dunia Baru Liveaboard Phinisi Charter
Dunia Baru is a VVIP phinisi liveaboard built in the Konjo shipbuilding tradition of South Sulawesi and finished to modern superyacht specification. The name translates to "New World," and the vessel reflects that intent with 7 cabins sleeping 14 guests, an Owner's Suite with private deck, and a full complement of dive gear and water toys. It operates primarily in Raja Ampat on private charter.
About the Dunia Baru
Dunia Baru was built by Konjo shipbuilders, a craft community from Sulawesi known for phinisi construction that has operated since long before the modern charter industry. The boat layers traditional hull shaping with a contemporary superyacht interior, suiting families and multi-generational groups who want a liveaboard that feels distinctly Indonesian but runs with the systems and service standards of international vessels. It is rated in the VVIP tier of the Boat Komodo Trip fleet for Raja Ampat.
Cabin Configuration and Suite
The vessel carries 7 cabins configured for 14 guests, with the Owner's Suite positioned to include a private deck for panoramic ocean views. Deluxe cabins complete the layout, giving family groups or diving parties individual space without compromising shared areas. The saloon, dining area, and multiple exterior deck zones provide alternatives for meals, reading, or briefings, whether indoors with air conditioning or outdoors under the stars.
Onboard Activities and Toys
Dunia Baru is dive-ready, with equipment onboard for certified divers and tenders that reach hidden bays, reef edges, and beaches off limits to larger vessels. Superyacht toys extend the range of onboard activities for non-divers or guests taking a day off the reef. Trekking, beach excursions, paddleboarding, and kayaking are also included, alongside use of jet skis and fishing equipment where marine-park rules permit. The open kitchen allows gourmet meals prepared with guest input on preferences.
