Dancing Wind Liveaboard: 45-Meter Phinisi for Raja Ampat Diving

Dancing Wind is a 45-meter Phinisi in the VVIP Raja Ampat class, built for dedicated dive liveaboard voyages. The vessel accommodates up to 20 guests across eight cabins spread over an Upper Deck and Lower Deck, all with air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, and sea views. The onboard diving setup includes Nitrox availability and dedicated gear preparation space. The 8D7N package starts from USD 66,500, with private charter or per-cabin booking options.

Vessel Profile and Cabin Configuration

Dancing Wind is a 45-meter traditional Phinisi rebuilt with modern comfort for divers and marine travelers. The layout places eight spacious cabins across two decks, with Upper Deck and Lower Deck variants serving double and twin configurations. Every cabin features air conditioning, an ensuite bathroom, and sea views, which keeps the setup workable for groups mixing divers and non-diving partners.

Guest capacity caps at 20 people. The crew supports a French cruise director and an English-speaking guide, a pairing aimed at European and international guests who want clear briefings on both dive plans and land excursions.

Diving Facilities and Gear Policy

The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art dive facilities, including Nitrox availability for longer bottom times on repetitive dives around Misool, Wayag, and Piaynemo. A dedicated dive deck allows gear preparation without crowding the main living areas, and a tender boat handles drop-offs at dive sites.

Standard inclusions cover kayak or paddle, snorkeling equipment, and non-alcoholic drinks. Diving-specific items sit in the exclusion list: National Park entries, diving courses, Nitrox (beyond basic availability, depending on package), personal diving equipment rental, and crew tips. Guests who need full kit rental should confirm pricing before booking.

Raja Ampat Route Highlights

Trips are planned around the Raja Ampat archipelago, with signature stops at Dafalen, Timbul Sand, Sauwandarek, Harfat, Wayag Island, and Piaynemo. Diving itineraries prioritize known sites in the central and northern regions, while still leaving time for shore excursions, karst viewpoints, and village visits.

Arrival flows through Sorong (SOQ), with direct connections from Bali (DPS), Jakarta (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), and Makassar (UPG). Referenced airlines include Garuda Indonesia, Pelita Air, Sriwijaya Air, Lion Air, Batik Air, and Citilink. Hotel suggestions in Sorong for pre-trip stays include Koprak Resort, D Coral Paradise Resort, and Meridian.

Pricing, Booking, and Departure Logistics

The 8D7N package starts from USD 66,500 for private charter. Booking opens with a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable on guest cancellation. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the trip; trips less than 14 days out require full payment upfront. Payment confirmation runs via WhatsApp at +62 811-3823-875.

For departure logistics, 9D8N to 12D11N guests can fly out on the final day of the trip with flights arranged around their schedule. The 8D7N package routes guests to depart one day after the trip ends, which allows a buffer for flight connections out of Sorong. Arrival one day early is recommended to avoid missing the morning start.
