Jinggo Janggo Phinisi Charter in Komodo

Jinggo Janggo is a compact 22-meter phinisi yacht built for small-group private charters across Komodo National Park. With a beam of 4.5 meters, a draft of 1.8 meters, and a capacity of just 5 guests in 2 cabins, the boat is sized for close-knit groups like a family, a couple with a few friends, or a small photography crew. It runs as a VIP-class boat under Boat Komodo Trip, pairing a traditional Buginese phinisi hull with comfort upgrades for sailing between Kelor, Padar, Komodo Island, Manta Point, and Taka Makassar. Rates start at USD 1,800 per night.

Boat Size, Cabins & Layout

Jinggo Janggo measures 22 meters in length, 4.5 meters wide, and draws 1.8 meters. That draft matters in Komodo because it lets the boat anchor closer to shallow fringing reefs around Kanawa, Siaba, and Manjarite. Capacity is 5 guests spread across 2 cabins (Cabin 1 and Cabin 2), each with its own bathroom. The setup works best for a family of five, a couple traveling with two or three friends, or an intimate pre-wedding shoot group. Because capacity is tight, the whole boat effectively becomes a private villa at sea rather than a shared liveaboard experience.

On-Board Facilities

Snorkeling equipment is provided on board, and snacks run all day alongside free-flow mineral water, tea, and coffee. Meals happen at the outdoor dining area, which sits open to the view and is a key part of why guests pick a phinisi over a hotel stay. Safety essentials include fire alarms and first aid kits kept accessible at all times. The interior stays unpretentious rather than ultra-luxurious, which fits the VIP tier pricing rather than pushing into VVIP yacht territory. For most guests, the sundeck and open dining space are where the trip actually happens.
