D2 Speedboat

The D2 Speedboat is built for travelers who want to cover more of Komodo National Park in a single day without sacrificing onboard comfort. With capacity for 48 passengers and four main engines rated at 300PK each, it suits larger groups, corporate outings, and family gatherings that would rather sail together than split across smaller boats.

Layout and onboard comfort

D2 is laid out to keep groups moving and relaxing in parallel. Reclining seats line the main cabin, giving you a climate-controlled spot for the longer legs between Padar and Manta Point. Upstairs, the upper seat area opens to panoramic views of the Flores Sea, useful for photography when the light softens in late afternoon. The front decking and outdoor seating at the stern double as relaxation zones once the boat anchors. Air conditioning, a TV, and a speaker system keep the interior comfortable during transit, while Wi-Fi keeps you connected for quick uploads between snorkel stops. A proper shower and toilet round out the essentials, so rinsing off after swimming at Pink Beach or Taka Makassar feels effortless rather than rushed.

Power, capacity, and who it fits

Four 300PK engines give D2 the thrust to close distances quickly between Komodo's most photographed sites. Combined with a 48-passenger capacity, the boat works well for school trips, company retreats, wedding parties, or extended families booking a full-day private charter. Life jackets are standard across every seat, and the professional crew handles safety briefings, mooring, and snorkel guidance. For smaller parties who prefer privacy over volume, a private charter still makes sense: you get the deck space, the dual-level seating, and the engines to yourself, with flexibility to linger longer at sites the group finds most compelling.

One-day Komodo itinerary

A typical day begins with a 06:00-06:30 AM hotel pickup in Labuan Bajo, followed by check-in and departure toward Padar Island by 07:00 AM. The morning trek on Padar lines up well with softer light before the heat builds. From there, the boat moves to Pink Beach for an hour of swimming, then to Komodo Island for a lunch stop and dragon sighting with park rangers. The afternoon runs through Taka Makassar's sandbar, a short hop to Manta Point for snorkeling alongside reef mantas, and a final stretch at Kanawa Island before returning to port around 04:15 PM. The schedule is firm but not rigid. Weather, tides, and group energy all shape the actual pacing, and the crew adjusts as needed.

Charter rate and what's included

D2 Speedboat charter starts from IDR 59,500,000 per day. The rate covers a hot lunch (chicken, fish, or vegetarian), mineral water and soft drinks, biscuits, seasonal fruit, full snorkeling gear, clean towels, and hotel pickup and drop-off within the Labuan Bajo area. Alcoholic drinks, onboard photo or video documentation, and the Komodo National Park entrance fee are handled separately. Booking requires a 50% deposit to lock in the date; the remainder is due fourteen days before departure, or in full if you book inside that window. Our team at Boat Komodo Trip confirms availability, answers questions about the itinerary, and follows up with payment details via WhatsApp.
