3 Island Phinisi Charter for Komodo National Park

3 Island is a deluxe-class Phinisi purpose-built for family holidays, group getaways, and honeymoon sailings through Komodo National Park. The layout balances five ocean-view cabins with a generous open-air deck, making it equally suited to quiet couple-time and lively group voyages between Padar, Pink Beach, and the pink coral of Taka Makassar.

A Deluxe Phinisi Designed for Komodo

Measuring 22 m x 6 m, 3 Island hosts up to 14 guests in a mix of four private cabins and one sharing cabin. The hull is sized for the routes guests actually want to do in three or four days: short hops from Labuan Bajo out to Kelor, overnight anchorages off Kalong Island for the sunset bat migration, and dawn climbs up Padar before the crowds arrive.

The crew runs this boat as a dedicated Komodo vessel, not a crossover. That means the routing, meal timing, and speedboat tenders are calibrated to the park's geography: reaching Batu Bolong early for the current window, sliding into Manta Point between dive boats, and reserving the sheltered side of Siaba for late-morning snorkels.

Indoor Dining Area 3 Island Phinisi

Cabins, Sundeck, and Social Spaces

Each of the four private cabins has ocean views and its own bathroom, while the sharing cabin suits friend groups or solo travelers who prefer to pool their budget into longer itineraries. The rooftop chill-out area is the boat's social heart at sunset, with the sundeck forward for tanning and stargazing once the anchor drops.

Indoor dining is air-conditioned for lunch service after hot trekking mornings, and the forward deck opens up for al-fresco dinners on calm nights. Snorkeling gear and life vests are kept on deck so guests can drop in at Manjarite or Sebayur with minimal fuss.

Sundeck Area 3 Island Phinisi

Typical 3D2N Komodo Itinerary

Day one runs Labuan Bajo to Kelor Island for the first trek and swim, then on to Manjarite for snorkeling before an evening at Kalong watching flying foxes lift off the mangroves. Day two is the classic Komodo core: a sunrise Padar climb, Pink Beach, a Komodo dragon trek on Komodo Island, manta encounters at Manta Point, and the sandbar at Taka Makassar. Day three closes with Sebayur snorkeling and a harbor return by late morning.

2D1N and 4D3N versions are also available with the same boat, adjusting stops for Rangko Cave, Seraya, and Bidadari depending on how long you have.

Best For

3 Island suits families or friend groups of 10 to 14 who want private-charter comfort without stretching into a full VIP budget. It is a strong pick for multigenerational trips where couples want their own cabin, and for honeymooners who prefer a small, personable vessel over a packed liveaboard.
