About Sebayur Islands
Sebayur Island is comprised of two islands: Sebayur Besar, the larger island, and Sebayur Kecil, the smaller island. Located on the north of Komodo National Park, these islands are not part of the park, so you won't need to pay an entrance fee to visit. The islands' strategic location makes them an ideal stop for exploring the best dive sites in the northern region of the park.
Getting to Sebayur Island
Getting to Sebayur Island is relatively easy. The easiest way is by flight to Labuan Bajo airport, Komodo Airport. From there, you can take a speedboat to the island within an hour from Labuan Bajo harbor. While there is no public transportation to the island, you can book a tour package or charter a boat from the tour operator at the harbor.
What to Expect in Sebayur Island
Sebayur Island offers a range of activities for visitors. The underwater life around the islands is magnificent, with healthy and colorful corals, clownfish, and surgeonfish. Snorkeling and diving are excellent options to experience the beauty of the marine life. The island's white-sand beach provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for reading, sunbathing, or swimming.
